the boys of mappey again achieved to compose a very picturesque sound telling the story of mr. miyagis wisdoms.a technical and yet precise fighting scenario between miyagi and a muk yan jong (wooden dummy) opens up this track using a warm wooden percussions and a solid human kick.

tracking down el frijolero (nee michael brown) for an interview to mark the release of this record proved harder than initially anticipated. despite enjoying world-wide success throughout the late 90’s and early 2000s - as well as a whole slew of critically acclaimed releases – the us born producer has faded into relative obscurity after joining a religious cult in the secluded countryside of north rhine-westphalia, germany. his last confirmed sighting was from a friend six years ago, who told us that brown had left the cult after filing for insolvency. these previously unreleased remixes were found in a box of possessions in a friend’s basement. they encapsulate the unrivaled talent and technical mastery of a man whose musical career and financial euphoria came to an abrupt end. 200 copies - hand stamped

at its very first start, the new label founded by conrad van orton proposes a vinyl of his own with two original tracks on the a side, november and captivity archives. and two great remixers such as vsk and the mysterious annuled user on the other. just as the needle starts to mark the passage, the classic four quarters give life to a beat that between one step and another compresses catapulting reality in a classic industrial scenario of mid-autumn where the clear sky gets marked by black and deep plots. a background noise accompanies the whole programming part of the drumming that gives off a relentless pace. on the a side captivity archives reconfirms the industrial nature of cvo with a look towards distant galaxies ..... with the needle still hot we turn around the record to the b side. here we find the vsk remix with a more ambient and crystal clear sound. to the original drum, vsk, choose an equally technical percussion. all home made. last but not least the contribution given by annulled user. trademark? techno! .. and there is nothing here to mess about with. 4/4 dry, hard which feel anger and rebellion desire. the kick, fairly present, is ripped apart by some demonic filters. the 5.30 min of annulled user are a reminiscence of the 90s.

>rdjcs5<, a new 4-track 12-inch ep by solvent, is the result. this is suction022. each and every sound on this record came from rdj’s old cs5, painstakingly programmed and multi-tracked by solvent over the course of several months. the limited capabilities and sound palette of this humble little synth provided quite a challenge, but ultimately the results are not merely an exercise in technical synthnerdery, rdjcs5 speaks more of solvents musical kinship to thee analord. opening track >curtains< bears similarity to early rephlex signing bochum welt, while >radiator<, >mould<, and >tassels< each contain hallmarks of the classic afx sound. at the same time, each track also sounds distinctly and unmistakably solvent. the 12 inch vinyl edition is limited to 300 copies, in brown chipboard sleeve with sticker, and also contains an additional noise/drone piece at the end of side b. entitled >sandpaper<, this cut will be individually hand-etched by solvent, for a 1-of-a-kind cut/click/loop experience.

we are sure max cooper does not refer here to one of traum boss triple rs favourite writer thomas pynchon but rather connects here to the technical terminus of the parabolic trajectory often mentioned as rainbow-shaped. nevertheless we wish to express that the transgressive quality of max music, does it question or break down the boundaries and categories of western culture and reason, is a challenge we have at traum always aimed at, with tracks that were very far away from the norm in the same way as maxs tracks are.

tearing through the streets again with wicked track after wicked track! pounding grooves dont stop! this heavy low end bomber is sprinkled with static dust which grunges it up nicely. then comes along valvestat who gives us a new taste of uk-style tech, mixxing heavy kicks and technical percussions with subtle black strings of death! huge! kataconda is back at it, this time treating us to a frenzy of static attacks. his droned out version of pounding grooves original leaves no room for improvement. finally, dijjs edit adds a funky bounce to the equation with cut-up alien vox and the skullsplitter! dont miss this one! asrx005 cannot be stopped!

marco resmann has done it. the studio computer is purring again like a satisfied kitten and those dark technical storm clouds have passed by. to prove that a streak of technical bad luck which he has just gone through can sometimes enhance creativity he has come up with this little gem of a new single >drop outz<. on a1 we have >mal pas< (transl: difficult road) which is an ode to the suffering he went through with his computer. but dont worry, its just a name, the track itself is as light and sweet as the stuff that we love from marco. b1 is also little beauty, no dark clouds to be found here either, and b2, a cracker called >whats cracking< is the ultimate proof to anyone that the sun always shines at upon you. enjoy and always think happy thoughts friends
